Inhaltsangabe

Dave Cox's life is turned upside down when he's hit with racketeering charges. Count Time takes you on a journey through the labyrinthine world of the Florida Department of Corrections, where Cox's world is shrunken to a day-to-day prison existence alongside a volatile prison law clerk, an oblivious doctor, and a desire to find a way out.

As Cox struggles to navigate the harsh realities of life behind bars, readers encounter not only the fear and humiliation, but also the camaraderie and hope connected with incarceration.

Outside the prison walls, a group of Gulf Coast Floridians find their lives converging as Marks explores the importance of family and friendship. He celebrates strong women who challenge misogynistic men hiding behind their money and their ignorance while promoting the entrepreneurial spirit and the American Dream.

With themes of rectitude, corruption, deviance, and payback woven throughout, Count Time is a provocative, enlightening and well-researched first novel from Nelson Marks.

Through it all, Cox remains steadfast in his belief that: "Life's an adventure. Enjoy the ride!"
