Do you ever feel there is a ‘most you’ somewhere inside? This is the version of you that you see the most clearly. This you is the version you like the most. This you can achieve what you want to achieve. Be seen, heard and remembered.
This you is untainted and uncorrupted by modern society.
But then things get in the way.
Society brings you negativity, manipulation, adrenaline, cortisol. Modern life ignites dopamine cravings. There’s no time for you, there’s no way to stop the rat race. The conflict and control keeps this ‘you’ trapped inside: daily basics, other people’s needs, real life.
So you’re told to ‘do things’. Be healthy. Learn stuff. And ugh, meditate and be introspective. Journal!
You’ve dismissed, tried and stopped, got bored and failed, lost motivation.
This is because there has never been any pay off from any of these things.
From 5,000 years ago, humans already realised that mindfulness and introspection and zen-ish-ness were good. But they didn’t stop the next 5,000 years from being what they were, and they haven’t done lots for you so far.
So how else can you get what you want and be the most YOU in a world where you’re surrounded by modern nonsense?
This isn’t about being the ‘best’ you. Who wants to be at their best for every minute of the day?
This is about honouring one person, created in a flicker of a moment on planet Earth: that’s you. You!
The only time you have is now.
The only mind and body you have is your own.
So let’s make it time to be the most you.
