A race called the Quitarians have sent a robotic ship to ask the humans for help against the Cantos but the humans have their own problems with Kaffaar S'Ler sending a fleet of 200 ships to attack S-233. A lone ship, the Midleton, is sent to Quitar to investigate their claims. Captained by Sean O'Conner and accompanied by Major Travis Kees and Sergeant Savio Rizzi they are to evaluate their military readiness.
