Inhaltsangabe

In the tumultuous backdrop of late 19th and early 20th-century Persia, a landscape marred by rebellions, occupations, and political upheaval, Dr. Goodarzi unfolds a narrative deeply rooted in the intricate tapestry of historical events.
Leveraging his extensive scientific research background, Dr. Goodarzi dedicated 35 years to meticulous data gathering, collaborating with distinguished philatelists and collections. Rather than a mere systematic cataloging of stamps, this book delves into the historical context that shaped Persian philately during a tumultuous era.
The author focuses on unraveling the impact of political turmoil on the usage of a myriad of military and civilian censorship markings. Dr. Goodarzi's unique perspective invites readers to comprehend the imperative behind the introduction and varied use of these markings at different junctures in Persian history.
