Step into the world of a residential school for the blind through the experiences of Monte Scott, a novice vocational rehabilitation counselor who faces the challenges and joys of learning from both students and staff-while still reeling from the end to his aspirations of love with a betrothed teacher, Clare.
This compelling sequel to It Always Rains on Wednesday, Book One: Genesis, reveals the complex dynamics of a vibrant 1970 community that is sometimes chaotic, sometimes humorous, and sometimes disturbing. Will justice be served when accusations of abuse and discrimination are made? And will the friendship between Monte and Clare continue to blossom?
Confront the unpredictable Benjamin Booker, teacher and guidance counselor. Meet the impetuous Arnold, whose small eight-year-old frame belies an oversized confidence and uncanny command of campus. Embrace the magic of da Vinci as his drawings are applied to a student trebuchet project, resulting in unanticipated consequences.
Anyone working in education or human services will recognize the rich world brought to life through the daily trials and triumphs of students and staff within a world few people ever see.
