Inhaltsangabe

After their daring escape from Syrellian castle and the Mad King Varan, Cari settles into her life in Piscea with her sisters. Each of the merfolk kingdoms face challenges as they prepare for the repercussions. In Zephyrial, Prince Evander marries the mermaid his parents promised him to when he was young, and adjusts to life as a husband. Prince Kallan works toward regaining control of his kingdom and looking after his family. His plans to rescue Adamaris from Syrellian before his father figures out that he is the one leaking information to help the other kingdoms evade attacks. Meanwhile, Adamaris struggles with looking after his little sister, betraying his father, and learning long-buried secrets that paint a terrifying picture of their kingdom's history. And the Sea Witch continues to pull strings, endeavoring to shift things in her favor by making friends with Evander's new bride, Lady Eunji. "An amazing debut fantasy novel from an incredibly talented author. A truly riveting mermaid tale." K. C. Tansley, author of The Girl Who Ignored Ghosts

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Kay Leyda has been an avid reader since she was young, starting with books like A Wrinkle in Time and The Trickster's Choice. Over the years, her love of fantasy, romance, and magic has only grown. She wrote short stories and poetry all throughout her school years, including a writing class in college. Of Seafoam and Saltwater: The Piscea Chronicles is her debut Young Adult Fantasy about mermaids, a mysterious Sea Witch, and breaking generational curses. While YA Fantasy has continued to be her favorite genre for most of her life, she has more recently been obsessed with Romantasy and Romcoms, thanks to the joy of bookstagram. As a Chicago native who moved to Florida in her early 20s, Kay has definitely been influenced by her years of working at Walt Disney World. Her love of fairytales, princesses, and true love continues to grow. She currently lives in Texas with her husband and is working on the second Piscea book. You can find her binging her favorite SyFy shows twice a week with her bestie (Killjoys, the Magicians), baking for her husband's coworkers, and listening to audiobooks while she runs errands.
