Inhaltsangabe

In My Defence is a reflective collection of poetry that dives headfirst into the poet's personal struggles and emotional turmoil—because what's life without a little chaos? With wit and a touch of satire, the poet navigates the messy complexities of her past, defending choices that once seemed like the best idea ever.

Now, with the benefit of hindsight and slightly more maturity, she revisits her impulsive actions, realizing they are relatable to many others as well. Through these verses, the poet is not aiming for transformation—who has time for that? Instead, she is seeking understanding, forgiveness, and a little grace. This journey of self-awareness embraces vulnerability while giving a side-eye to conventional moral institutions, offering readers an unfiltered and refreshingly candid look at what it means to stumble and grow.
