Inhaltsangabe

What separates a group of talented individuals from a team that can win a world championship - or transforms an organization? Dan Lyons has spent a lifetime finding out. As a seven-time U.S. national team rower, Naval officer, Olympic-level coach, and thirty-year leadership consultant, Lyons has built high-performance teams across every arena of human endeavor. In A CHAMPION'S MINDSET; The Eight Secrets of Inspiration Leadership, he distills that experience into eight proven secrets of inspirational leadership - a framework that answers the question every leader must face: how do you get the absolute best from yourself and the people you lead? Drawing on stories from the 1986 World Rowing Championships, the storied Navy and Georgetown crew programs, boardrooms and battle decks, Lyons shows that the principles that forge a "band of brothers" in a racing shell are the same ones that build extraordinary teams in business, government, and beyond. The lessons are practical, the stories are unforgettable, and the core insight is as simple as it is powerful: Champions aren't born - they're built, one stroke at a time." - Admiral John Richardson, USN (Ret), 31st Chief of Naval Operations
