Boondocks Resort owner Brooklyn Kelly must prevent a hotel developer from stealing her home, her livelihood, and heart. Boondock's Resort had been the center of Brooklyn Kelly's life-until disaster struck. In a last-ditch effort to avert foreclosure, she lands a job as a mail carrier where she must read an elderly woman's mail to her. Brooklyn discovers this woman's son wants to buy her property and tear down what she and her father spent a lifetime building. Worse, she hadn't counted on falling for her new enemy. Beckett Walsh is determined to become the new vice president of Hamilton Hotels. But first, he must get his hands on a property his boss wants. He brings the project team to his mother's hometown to track down the elusive-but ultimately intriguing-resort owner. When secrets unfold, Beckett realizes there is a lot more to Brooklyn Kelly than meets the eye-and his boss's business dealings. But ultimately, he finds out what it means to love an independent woman and live for a purpose bigger than himself. Boondocks Bride transports readers to a small Minnesota resort and community just before Christmas time. This story explores the idea of having one's livelihood and home suddenly taken from them, not wanting to disappoint a loved one, and trying to imagine something different than the only career you've ever known. One can be at the top of their career and, by the example of someone else, realize they are on the wrong path.
