Antonella L.M. Rivalta is a full-time translator and localization specialist but, as soon as she clocks out of her day job, she shifts gears and writes gripping romantic suspense novels.Born and raised in Milano, Italy, three years ago Antonella decided to take the leap from Italy to the United States, along with her perplexed husband, culture-shocked daughter, two stoic dogs and a very sullen cat. After settling in a beautiful gated community in the Tennessee woods, she immediately decided to follow her heart's pull and start writing the action-packed thriller novels that slowly but steadily take shape in her head during her long hikes. Her own experiences in adjusting to such a vastly different culture are a constant source of inspiration for the Long Lakes series' main character, Valentina. When she is not burning the midnight oil writing her next novel, Antonella spends her free time reading, looking for hard-to-find ingredients for her Italian dishes, walking her two Collies and traveling the USA in her RV.
