Inhaltsangabe

Our hilarious Father Jack finally goes on a much-needed vacation. He decides to visit an old friend, hitting the road in the Lone Ranger, a silver bullet camper with just enough room for him and his dog, Saber. He’s on his way to see Hal who heads up Hawthorne Abbey where the monks can’t wait to meet the man they’ve heard so much about.

Despite the beautiful surroundings, there are unsettling developments. The youngest of the monks is not what he appears to be, and that is irking the more somber clerics. It isn’t enough to affect daily prayers and meditation, though. That is, until the police are called.

Meanwhile, back at the rectory, unexpected activity is making Will, the younger priest and Fr. Tom Fish, the parish cat, very nervous. The housekeeper is getting a lot of attention while Jack is gone. A veteran from Reny's group, infatuated with her, triggers a startling makeover on her part.

As the parish and the rectory family await Jack’s return, it becomes clear what is really going on with the housekeeper; while back at the monastery, Jack comes to terms with his ability to reach into the soul, even when he’s not sure what he’ll find.
