New York actor Sean Curley is exhausted. The last few months have been intense, and he is looking forward to getting out of New York to perform at one of his favorite regional theatres in Lancaster, PA. He needs some quiet. He needs some good work to take his focus and allow him to feel normal again. He needs some new scenery to take his mind off what was a promising romance that now seems impossible.
He didn’t consider that Lancaster is a city filled with history and lore. Music and storytelling. Tradition and magic. And danger.
The beings he wanted so badly to escape have different ideas and follow him. Lancaster isn’t distant enough as far as his foes are concerned, so they discover how to place him beyond where he can stand in their way. And seemingly beyond the reach of his friends who begin a desperate search for him.
In a strange place and time, and far from everyone he loves, Sean is forced to rely on new friends to help him. Who can be trusted? Is there even a path back? Once again, the world proves to be different than it seems. Good and bad come in many guises.
All he wanted was some peace and quiet.
Now he doesn’t even know where or when he is.
