Inhaltsangabe

War is hell. But an angry redhead? Worse. Alternate Earth:After a bloody 50-year war, Earth finally united under one leadership and a central governing, guiding the planet toward a more peaceful future. 150 years later, that peace is shattered when one state decides to break away, seeking its own freedoms and way of thinking, sparking a new war.Jamie Trathen, a young red-haired girl, just stepping into womanhood, gets caught up in a world of adult problems. Facing the possibility of jail, she escapes her fate by enlisting in the military, at a brutally inopportune time. After acing her courses at the military academy and graduating early, Jamie is assigned to an armored cavalry unit that's shipped out to South Africa. There, her unit is suddenly forced to ally with the very people they were just fighting. Now fighting against a new, unknown enemy... A forgotten super power from an alternate Earth of all places.Dodging one disaster and diving headfirst into another, Jamie finds herself fresh out of school, hurled from the frying pan into the fire, to be forged in steel or melted into slag.
