Inhaltsangabe

Spencer wakes one morning to find that something has moved into his old hunting blind, and it left him a startling image on his trail camera. Willow hasn't left her house in months, but the arrival of an uninvited guest in her home makes it hard to stay. Nathan, haunted by memories of the last camping trip he ever took with his childhood friend, comes back to see the shoe tree one last time. These six Midwestern Gothic short stories encompass the mundane, folkloric horror of the Great Lakes, with all the nostalgia of a campfire story.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Kel Byron began her writing career in college, where she would disgust her classmates on purpose. Inspired by works such as John Carpenter's "The Thing" and H.P. Lovecraft's "Color Out of Space", she began posting stories to Reddit's NoSleep forum as a love letter to creature features, body horror, and the fear of the unknowable. To her surprise, the "Lonely Broadcast" series gained a modest but loyal following and inspired her to continue disgusting people on purpose. Kel currently lives in Michigan and spends her time doing animal rescue work and being a general nuisance.
