Deb Smith and her son Maddox are #hypospadiasheroes, having completed their hypospadias journey. To help others facing surgery for hypospadias, one of the world's most common birth differences, they wrote How Down There Bear Got Repaired and the upcoming Down There Bear Takes a Dive, walking families through the process of hyperbaric oxygen therapy when reoperations are needed. When she isn't busy writing and mothering, Deb is busy as a registered nurse at her local children's hospital.
