Hera McLeod is a Washington, DC - based author, speaker, and civil rights activist. She worked in the Intelligence Community for a decade before transitioning into corporate America. Her op-eds and essays have been published in The New York Times, The Seattle Times, The Washington Post, and The Huffington Post. She was a 2017 Jack Straw Writing Fellow and has made several television appearances to include The Today Show, The Tony Danza Show, Crime Watch Daily, ABC/CBS/Fox News, The Amazing Race (Season 6), and the Discovery + Citizen PI series.
