Dona's warmth and graciousness comforts Peter, who recognizes the peril he and his sister face.A secret network of boats conveys the children to Ireland, where a caring family takes them in, as their mother returns to join their father. Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Colleen Clancy Hansen holds a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with an English major, a speech/drama minor, and a Master's Degree in the Art of Teaching. She retired after teaching secondary English for twenty-five years at Billings Central, CR Anderson, and Helena High School. Since 2006 she has been a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI). Colleen published Destination: Butte, Montana, Ghost Children in Elkhorn, Montana, an ebook, and Stella and the Bubble Man, a picture book. Colleen's newest book is Eyes Everywhere: Searching for Jewish Children, published through Mountain Pine Press.
