Inhaltsangabe

Cornfry is the rambling, on-the-move debut book of poetry by a backbone contributor to Buckman Journal and the Portland scene, Rich Perin, written during his 3-decade stint in the US. Framed by the view from bus, train, and car windows, Cornfry criss-crosses the country to gain a sense of how to fit in, despite time and age changing the rules at whim. There is more to what meets the ear here: What does rollicking fun with the usual substances do to an individual?-is it harmonious or harmful? Where is the consent in aging? Why fit in at all? There are plenty of rocks to look under, and Rich Perin's years of shucking reveals that even though character shifts and reshapes, it remains whole and distinct.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Rich Perin comes from the other side of the world. Looks like he could be from anywhere. Survived 12 years in Texas; which he regards as a badge of honor. He is a PNW Noodling champion, with a record catch in the 2011 steelhead trout category. Unassuming mingler in higher social circles. Fighter for the blue collar.
