Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Mary writes fiction for children and adults. Dax and Dash Discover New Tricks is the thirdbook in the Tropical Tales bilingual series, featuring jungle and ocean animals who face challenges familiar to young children. Her award-winning historical fiction novels for adults include In This Land of Plenty and Unfamiliar Territory, which follow a fictional family through California history. She divides her time between California and Costa Rica where she is at work on a third novel in the family saga and the next Tropical Tales story. Before focusing on writing and creativity, she had a thirty-year career in California public education.

Claudia is a freelance illustrator with an extensive portfolio in all aspects of children'sbook publishing. She was born in Trento, Italy, and has loved books since she was a child.She always wanted to be an artist. She has a degree in Fine Arts with a Major in Illustrationfrom the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. Claudia has also lived inLondon and now resides in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband and their two dogs.
