Inhaltsangabe

Please join Mike Seid and his inner ten-year-old self, aka Tenish Mike, as they flash back and forward and back again in this second edition with bits n' pieces culled from live comedy performances, as well as stories performed only in their heads. For the first time ever, this One Man Show! is shared for readers of all ages (except for those under thirteenish). Enjoy their trip down memory, and future, lane. The trip, which is quite trippy indeed, includes cartoon drawings of some memorable moments, as well as a full-length novella stuck right smack in the middle of the book. Big Top: The Astonishing Tale of the Underground Circus tells the story of a noble and heroic band of misfits who are forced to live and perform in parts unknown. The fly in the ointment comes when a reality TV producer weasels his way into their community. Hence, we get the modern-day phenomenon of exploitation, degradation, and humiliation. The juxtaposition of our kind souls deep in the forest amidst the dubious forces that saturate our pop culture poses the essential question: Who are the real freaks? Big Top: The Astonishing Tale of the Underground Circus shows what would happen if The Night Circus met A Confederacy of Dunces and they went on a date deep in the woods for a midnight screening of the cult classic Freaks. Please join Mike and Tenish Mike on their journey. It truly has been, and will be forever a magnificent journey indeed. And these days, we all need a magnificent and wonderful journey, don't we?
