Inhaltsangabe

In 1589, the German town of Bedburg witnessed one of history's most shocking trials. Peter Stump-accused of sorcery, murder, cannibalism, incest, and a 25-year reign of terror-confessed under torture to being a werewolf in league with the Devil. His chilling account, recorded in the 1590 pamphlet The Damnable Life and Death of Stubbe Peeter, describes a magical girdle that transformed him into a ravenous wolf and a string of crimes steeped in blood and horror. This edition reproduces the original pamphlet alongside a modern, easy-to-read text treatment, preserving one of the most infamous and disturbing werewolf legends ever told-part folklore, part show trial, and all nightmare.
