J. Eric Fraze is a storyteller with no hidden motives, crafting tales simply for the love of the stories themselves, and for the legendary world in which they unfold. In The Ancient Tales of Soria he brings to life decades of intense creative devotion to the land of Soria and its many characters, a passion which has engaged him since childhood. His literary inspirations are firmly set in the classics and the realm of historical legend, and diverge from voguish trends in modern fiction. His resulting works combine the solemnity of epic prose with frank good humor, giving them a timeless quality that transcends current delineations of genre. Fraze resides in California with his wife, his daughter, and a fairly massive library of old books. In addition to creating works of fiction, he has worked as a designer, artist, and illustrator. His hobbies include building and maintaining a scale model of the mythical city of Homadal, the inspiration for the present work. The Ancient Tales of Soria is his first full-length publication.
