Inhaltsangabe

It is 150 years in a future that looks vastly different, yet somehow so achingly similar to today’s world. Set against this futuristic version of Atlanta in a world as damaged and tainted as Abigail sees herself, it is a hard place to survive. Abigail, a 19-year-old girl from the outskirts of Atlanta, knows that all too well. Against all odds she must survive and realize that there are tougher obstacles than just the world around her. Sometimes the biggest obstacles can be our past. Can she find the strength to trust again?

Gloria Kitchens writes her stories to explore a futuristic setting in a place that she knows well: Atlanta. Writing stories of trust and identity is her way of solidifying the setting and grounding readers in the essence that humanity never changes — our wants and desires stay the same no matter where we are thrust.

Abigail is a fiction book that speaks to young adults and sci-fi lovers. It delves into the darkness and light in all of us; the fragile strength of humanity to rise against all odds. Gloria hopes that, through this story, readers will see how starting to trust people again can help us continue moving forward in finding ourselves.
