Over the next 40 years he built Sun Valley Floral Farms into one of North America's largest and most respected flower-growing companies, recognized for its world-class tulips, lilies, and iris, and emerged as a respected voice for purpose-driven leadership in the floral industry.Today, as President of CalFlowers, the national floral-industry trade association, DeVries continues to champion the American Floral Industry at large with innovation, integrity and vision. His story, spanning immigration, entrepreneurship, faith, and perseverance-embodies the true American Dream.DeVries has been honored by both the Society of American Florists and the International Fresh Produce Association as:' Floral Marketer of the Year and is widely known as "Mr. Women's Day" for promoting the celebration of women through flowers.
