San Juanita G. Rodriguez is a mother and grandmother who loves to write simple children's stories. Though she came from what is often called "humble beginnings," she discovered her love for writing while attending a community college, where she learned to use her imagination and creativity to fill the pages of a personal journal.She often creates her stories in her mind before ever sitting down to write. Spending time with her grandchildren is one of her greatest joys, especially when reading stories to them-because she believes there is no wrong story when it is shared with love. In addition to writing stories, she has also written simple songs for her grandchildren.She wrote Edan and the Butterfly with the hope that it will bring comfort and encouragement to children, and to anyone, who is coping with the loss of a loved one.
