Felwine Sarr, born in 1972 in Niodior, is a Senegalese philosopher, novelist, economistand musician-songwriter. He is the author of Afrotopia, African Meditations, The PlacesWhere My Dreams Live, and many other books, essays, and articles that exploreAfrican futures, cultures, and philosophies. He is also the coauthor of thegroundbreaking report commissioned by French president Emmanuel Macron, TheRestitution of African Cultural Heritage: Toward a New Relational Ethics. He is currentlythe Anne-Marie Bryan Chair of French and Francophone Studies at Duke University.
