Inhaltsangabe

The morning her career disappeared, S. T. Griffon sat in stunned silence, staring at a life she had spent decades building and suddenly no longer recognized.

The titles were gone. The structure was gone. The armor was gone. What remained was a question she had outrun for years: Who am I if I'm not achieving?

Born into instability on the South Side of Chicago, Griffon was taught to expect little from life and even less from herself. She refused. She became a U.S. Army paratrooper in the elite 82nd Airborne Division and later a corporate executive, building a life that looked like success from the outside. Inside, survival had quietly become a way of life.

Then the foundation beneath that life disappeared. And with it went the identity she had spent decades constructing. What followed was not a journey of rebuilding. It was a journey of self-discovery.

She Wasn't Supposed to Fly is a memoir about what happens when achievement can no longer answer the question of who you are. It is a story about identity, self-worth, belonging, and the courage to build a life that reflects who you truly are rather than who you learned you needed to be.

For anyone navigating loss, transition, burnout, reinvention, or the uneasy realization that success alone isn't enough, this book offers an honest exploration of what it means to begin again.

Because sometimes the life you were told wasn't possible is the very one you were meant to claim.
