Inhaltsangabe

Small Startup Cities is a practical, inspiring, and systems-minded guide for building inclusive startup ecosystems in small and mid-sized cities—places often left out of the innovation economy narrative.

Written by Dr. Dominique Halaby, a nationally recognized leader in entrepreneurship-based economic development, this book offers a roadmap for civic leaders, economic developers, educators, funders, and grassroots organizers who want to activate local talent, cultivate innovation, and drive long-term prosperity—without trying to imitate Silicon Valley.

Rather than chasing unicorns or waiting for outside investment, Small Startup Cities teaches communities how to build sustainable, locally owned ecosystems rooted in equity, culture, and collective agency.
