"Just because I've never seen it, doesn't mean I cannot be it." Purple Panda has never seen a panda ride a bike. Not even one. Could it be done? When his best friends Green Mouse and Yellow Hippo invite him to try, Purple Panda feels something every child knows all too well: Fear. Doubt. Wobbly knees. What if he falls? What if he fails? What if no panda has ever done this before? In this joyful, rhythmic picture book, Purple Panda discovers that courage does not mean getting it right the first time. It means wobbling. Falling. Getting back up. And believing in yourself - even when you have never seen it done. With vibrant illustrations, a playful rhyming text that begs to be read aloud, and a powerful repeating mantra - "Just because I've never seen it, doesn't mean I cannot be it." - children gain real language for confidence, perseverance, and self-belief they can carry far beyond storytime. Perfect for: Ages 3-6 Social-emotional learning (SEL) and growth mindset development Building confidence, self-esteem, and resilience First bike milestones and celebrating big "firsts" Preschool, kindergarten, and early elementary classrooms Read-alouds, circle time, and SEL curriculum support Birthday gifts, holiday presents, baby showers, and "just because" surprises Children who need a reminder that they are braver than they think Purple Panda Learns to Ride a Bike reminds every child that they do not need permission to be the first. They just need the courage to try. Purple Panda Learns to Ride a Bike is the first book in the Purple Panda Adventures series from Magical Cosmic Tales, LLC.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Keisha Williams is a lawyer, a former educator, tennis enthusiast, and a mom who has always believed that the most important stories are the ones that show you something is possible before you ever thought to try. When her son Cosmo came along, storytime became one of her favorite parts of the day and the place where this whole adventure really began. After reading countless picture books together, Keisha kept feeling like something was missing. She wanted a story that would tell Cosmo what every child needs to hear: that you can do anything you put your mind to, that falling down is part of the journey, and just because you have never seen it does not mean you cannot be it. So she sat down and wrote it herself. That story became Purple Panda Learns to Ride a Bike, her debut picture book and the first in the Purple Panda Adventures series. It is a charming, rhyming picture book about courage, perseverance, and trying something you've never seen done before. But just as much, it is about friendship and community and the people who cheer for you while you figure it out.Keisha is the founder of Magical Cosmic Tales, LLC, which is named after her son Cosmo, and she creates from her home in Silver Spring, Maryland. She hopes that every child and caregiver who reads this book walks away not just having visited a magical world but knowing deep down that they are the magic.Cosmo is two years old and the bright smile he shares every time he hears his name on the dedication page is the best part of the Purple Panda Adventures so far.Visit the magical world of Magical Cosmic Tales at www.magicalcosmictales.com.
