When Rob Myers was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, he and his wife, Robyn, came to a simple realization: someday was no longer a promise. It was a risk.
So they hitched up a fifth wheel trailer, later named Scotty, and pulled out of their driveway on Whidbey Island, Washington, with more determination than experience and absolutely no idea what they were doing.

They also stepped away from RV travel for a nearly two-month European break, spending time in London, Italy, Greece, and on a Mediterranean cruise before returning to the road.

Rob Myers is a retired U.S. Navy officer who served for 30 years and a lifelong traveler whose career took him across oceans before the open road called his name. After a diagnosis of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, he and his wife, Robyn, decided to stop waiting for someday and set out on a two-year RV journey across North America. Together, they traveled more than 66,000 miles through 49 states, Canada, Alaska, and many unforgettable places along the way. Rob writes with honesty, humor, and a deep appreciation for family, faith, time, and the lessons learned one mile at a time.
