The British and Russians were in much conflict and competition for Central Asia in the 19th century. This work outlines some part of that conflict. * CONDITION: This rare work is bound in the original pictorial green cloth, the covers are a fairly clean and the bindings are tight and solid, there is a bit of usual wear to the spine head/tail, and minor wear to the corners and a couple scuffs to the edges. The contents are clean and without any issues. This work is complete with all plates, maps and folding maps called for in the list of plates and maps. All in all a very good plus copy. *.
