The rapid development of generative artificial intelligence is reshaping how university students learn, think, communicate, and write, bringing with it both exciting possibilities and complex educational challenges. This book is grounded in a simple but important principle: AI should augment rather than replace human writing, teaching, and learning. The central question is therefore not whether AI can generate fluent or polished academic texts, but how students can use these technologies critically, ethically, creatively, and reflectively while continuing to develop their own intellectual independence and distinctive voices as writers. Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Ali Albashir Mohammed is a Professor of Translation at King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia. He holds four PhDs in Translation, Linguistics, and Literature and received an AI Fellowship in 2025. He has published over 280 research papers, 60 books, and 120 translated books. He received the King Khalid University Excellence Awards in 2020 and 2025.
