A nearly complete run of the AMERICAN IMPRINTS bibliography, covering 1800 to 1841, with all of the relevant index volumes. The series began as the successor Charles Evans' bibliography of American imprints to 1800 under the auspices of Ralph Shaw and Richard Shoemaker, and after the volume covering 1819 was completed to 1846 by Shaw and a coterie of other bibliographers.
