All manner of projects for making the tools, equipment, and collecting etc. for things in which boys were interested at the turn of the 20th century. The book is organized in four major sections, one for each season, with subsections with information on and instructions for building and collecting related objects for (to name just a few) fishing, kite making, keeping aquariums, various knots and ties, boats, camping, birds and collecting and preserving eggs for collecting, taxidermy, snow shoeing, snowball warfare, magic lanterns and silhouettes.
