- Octavo, 8-3/4 inches high by 5-1/2 inches wide. Softcovers, being a collection of 43 pamphlets with various paginations on subjects relating to Andrew Jackson's actions in regard to the Second Bank of the United States. The pamphlets where removed at some previous time from a larger collection of bound pamphlets with the expected stab marks and occasional remnants of a leather spine along the left edge. Two of the pamphlets originated in the 1st Session of the 22nd Congress of 1832. The remainder originated in the 1st Session of the 23rd Congress of 1834. The first 2 pamphlets are darkened. A few page corners are creased. Very good. The Bank War was a political struggle during the presidency of Andrew Jackson pitting Anti-Bank populist Jacksonian Democrats against what was perceived to be the monied interest of the Republicans as represented by Henry Clay and Daniel Webster.
