Illustrated with 34 engraved full page plates (2 folding). Bound in half calf with marbled boards and gilt rulings, rebacked; the original spine has been reattached and it has five raised bands with gilt rulings and a gilt title. The compartments each have a fine blind decoration. 2 previous owners armorial bookplates on front paste-down. The whole binding is firm. Plates include 6 of Berkeley and Thornbury Castles and 10 other grand houses plus historic artefacts, etc. The volume weighs 3 kg so extra shipping needed.
