Half-bound in red leather over dk green silk effect cloth, 5 raised bands with gilt decoration and gilt titles to the spine, marbled epps and edges, 345pp with 'instructions to binders' at rear, large hand coloured lithographed map of; the principle which waters the eastern and western territory of Rio de la Plata at front. The book consists of two parts: the first a lengthy reply to a letter of inquiry, sent by Woodbine Parish, The British Consul-General to Ignacio Nunez, and is accompanied by an important series of documents to substantiate Nunez arguments, the second part describes the economical, social and political structure of Argintina, the appendix covers the occupation of Uruguy by the Portuguese and Brazilians. The map of Buenos Ayres is missing, some foxing to prelims but overall text is clean and bright, tiny repaired tear and a little creasing to edge of map, otherwise a very good copy.
