Adolescent Behavior and Society: A Book of Readings, 5th edition by Rolf E. Muuss and Harriet D. Porton offers a collection of articles written by some of the most respected scholars in the field of adolescent development and psychology. Harriet D. Porton earned her undergraduate degree at Towson State University and her M. Ed in at-risk education at Goucher College. She has taught every level from 1st grade through graduate school but has spent the majority of her teaching career working with at-risk high school students. Currently M. Porton is an adjunct faculty member for Goucher College Graduate Programs in Education and serves as the Coordinator for Reconstitution-Eligible Schools for the Maryland State Department of Education. She has presented at numerous national conferences regarding at-risk youth, had several articles and a monograph published, and was a contributing writer and editor for the sixth edition of Rolf Muuss' Theories of Adolescence (1996).
