This abridged version of Kincaid's heroic work is beautifully decorated edition by Thomas Nelson, famous for their 'BoysOwn' presentation style. This is one of the 'Active Service' series. It has a splendid full colour cover of a bugler on horse back. An equally stirring frontispiece shows 'An officer of our dragoons came down the hill and took him in flank at full speed' - and this copy still has the tissue cover guide, often missing.
