Originally published in the 1950s, this seminal work provided a dispassionate and serious analysis of the subject of advertising. Ralph Harris was a British economist and was head of the Institute of Economic Affairs from 1957 to 1988. Arthur Seldon was joint founder, with Ralph Harris, of the Institute of Economic Affairs, where he directed academic affairs for 30 years. Christopher Snowdon is an author and freelance journalist based in the UK. He writes for Sp!ked and other publications.
