Marks collaborative research activities include projects in Australia, USA (Fulbright Scholar), Philippines (Endeavour Award Fellow), South Africa, and numerous other countries and locations in Africa and the Indo-Pacific region. His diverse research interests and publication history includes clean energy technology, agricultural system productivity, international and rural development, technology performance, energy policy, carbon markets, new water technology, and research collaborations.
