His main translations were Harriet Beecher Stowe's 'Uncle Tom's Cabin.' and Goethe's 'Werther'. In a half vellum binding with marbled paper boards. Externally, bumped to the head and tail of spine. Loss to the spine label.Patches of light rubbing to the boards. Small loss to the paper covered boards. Prior owner's inscriptions to the front pastedown, dated 1963. Internally, firmly bound.
