The spine has six compartments with five raised bands with title, author, and fleur de lis designs. The front cover has a beautiful embossed illustration with color inlays of Alice and the Dodo bird. On the back is a color illustration of Alice and the Red Queen. (Hinges fine, overall slightly worn and scuffed - as shown) under a protective removable mylar cover in a near fine modern cream full-cloth covered clamshell box with paper title label to spine. An exquisite binding! Content: Very good content (bright, tight, and clean, rare light foxing mainly on the half-title and his facing blank page - as shown). Illustrations: Complete with all the original illustrations by John Tenniel.
