The binding is full crimson morocco,elaborately gilt ruled,gilt dec. spine,all edges gilt,& the book comes in a matching chemise repeating the gilt decorations but with title & gilt starbursts on one edge.The covers of the almanac are darkened where thumb & finger have drawn the book from its chemise.The chemise is slightly dulled & marked,& a little worn on the corners.There are six engraved plates,all with tissue guards.There are a few tiny creases & nicks,& the hinges are tender.In the bottom corner of the Janvier page is a tiny rubber stamp "24 W K Kalend 1819" which has offset slightly to the facing page.
