The Amazing Adventure, Discovering the New Me! is a Bible story curriculum that gives children an overview of the entire Bible. The lessons are designed to follow the chronological progression from the Old Testament to the New Testament with 31 adventure-filled stories, based on the lives of twenty Bible characters. Children will see how each character has a place in God’s unfolding story, and how each one of us fits into God’s ultimate plan. The Amazing Adventure lays a solid grace-based foundation to help children understand what God’s Word says about their identity in Christ. The artwork and full-color design grabs the children’s attention. The Bible stories are written in the first person, which helps to keep the children engaged until the end of the story. At the end of each story, there are activities that lead children to make a personal application in their own lives, based on that day’s story. A heart response prayer is included after each Bible story that helps children to personally connect to the story. The last response question in each episode asks the children to draw a picture that describes the story—and there’s plenty of room on the page. This is a tangible way to cement the biblical truth they’ve just heard. There’s a Bible verse at the end of each lesson, which can be used as a memory verse. Children who are doing these lessons on their own can check their work by comparing their answers to the answers provided in the back of the book.
