The artwork and full-color design grabs the children’s attention. The Bible stories are written in the first person, which helps to keep the children engaged until the end of the story. At the end of each story, there are activities that lead children to make a personal application in their own lives, based on that day’s story. A heart response prayer is included after each Bible story that helps children to personally connect to the story. The last response question in each episode asks the children to draw a picture that describes the story—and there’s plenty of room on the page. This is a tangible way to cement the biblical truth they’ve just heard. There’s a Bible verse at the end of each lesson, which can be used as a memory verse. Children who are doing these lessons on their own can check their work by comparing their answers to the answers provided in the back of the book.
