A very good copy, in a near very good dust jacket, of the first English language edition. The binding of black cloth is clean and unworn, with bold silver lettering to the spine. Everything is square, with sharp unbumped edges and corners although there is a slight forward lean to the spine. Inside the contents are unblemished with no ownership inscriptions or other markings of any kind. The dust jacket is unclipped (no flap price), and is almost fully intact with only minor edgewear and a couple of nibbles to the spine ends. It is now protected in a removable mylar cover. From the blurb: "The story is simple, as simple as real life. Like life, too, it has many layers of meaning - the conflict of duty, the reappraisal of complacently accepted moral values, the failure of understanding between one generation and another, the entanglements of personal and professional life".
