In good condition, with rubbing and wear to exterior. Loss of original clasps, along with title label on spine. Some cracking to hinges at front and rear. Small bookworm holes on heel of spine. Light markings and marginalia, along with staining and smudging to front end page. Text block remains bound well. Includes plates on different types of handwriting, along with brief information of each state on page 288. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce all-purpose textbook, with information on spelling, mathematics, measuring, history, and more. Originally published in 1775 as The Instructor, or Young Man s Best Friend, prior to the American Revolution.
