About the Author: Jean Paul Carlhian, a former student of the École, taught at Harvard University and worked for decades with the legendary architectural firm Shepley, Bulfinch, Richardson and Abbott. Author and editor Margot M. Ellis was educated at Harvard University and Manhattanville College.
