Collated, and lacking eight colour plates.In the publisher's original pictorial binding. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Externally, bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Shelf wear to the boards and a small tidemark to the rear board. Internally, binding loosening throughout, with two pages detached but present. A closed tear to the tail of the third page. Some loss to the tail of the double-paged colour illustration, and some loss to the coloured illustration titled 'In Spite of That They Were All So Ill!'.
