New York: Princeton University for Crosby Gaige, 1928. Printed on green paper watermarked Alexander Japan Made in USA. Original black cloth, front cover blind stamped with border of three rules in centre, gilt-stamped, inverted triangle of three rules. Spines ends lightly rubbed, boards lightly dampstained and bowed, upper margins of leaves lightly waterstained. Rudementary sketch in ink to front free endpaper. One of 50 copies form a total edition of 850. This is copy number 6. Of the 50 copies (these copies were not signed by Joyce) probably only six were offered for sale by the publisher. The remaining 44 copies were presumable given away by Gaige with the exception of a few which were remaindered to the Chaucer Head Book Shop, New York in 1938 by Random House.
